Ladbrokes Champion Chase, Down Royal - Saturday 2nd November 2019

Good morning from Down Royal Racecourse, Northern Ireland!

Well, what can be said about the quality of the racing today apart from that it looks truly outstanding. Wetherby and Ascot with attractive cards, but leading the way surely is Down Royal with the card for their feature of the season, the Ladbrokes Champion Chase.

If you went to a raceday and Alpha Des Obeaux, Clan Des Obeaux, Delta Work, Road To Respect and Snow Falcon were all on the card it would be a pretty good day, but the fact they are all in the same race is truly something to behold. And the undercard isn't too bad either, with Saint D'oroux, Envoi Allen, Secret Investor, Mengli Khan, Real Steel and Rathhill all in attendance at the meeting.

It really is looking to be a fantastic day's racing, and we are very grateful to Down Royal for the chance to be here and cover the day's action. Just hope the racing is worth the 2:30am get up and the 6:40am flight from Manchester!
