A long, overdue update - 2017, here we come!

Well, nearly a year since this website was started, I think it is time for an update!

Overall, 2016 hasn't quite been a year to remember for us, to do with our aviation side. Various cancelled shoots, including a big one in September that was pretty gutting, especially as it was with less than a week to go and we were very excited to be doing it, have made this year a bit of a challenge for us, but there is always next time for these kind of events, so onwards and upwards!

Despite the trials of 2016, we did attend the RAF Brize Norton photoshoot, that took place on Saturday 29th October, in aid of the Jon Egging Trust. The aircraft that were available for us to photograph on the night consisted of the 99 Squadron 99 Years special tail C-17A Globemaster III, serial ZZ176, a 10 Squadron Airbus Voyager KC.3, serial ZZ343, a 24 Squadron Airbus Atlas C.1, serial ZM400, the 47 Squadron Hercules C.5 Special, serial ZH880, a Shorts SC-7 Skyvan, serial C-GKOA, and a delightful De Havilland Chipmunk, serial WP903, so a wide array of types on display. A fantastic night that was well organised, particularly with the airbridge steps to gain a different angle on the aircraft on display and the ground runs of the Chipmunk, Atlas and Hercules. Over £5,000 was raised for the trust, and we are very grateful to be one of those who attended the inaugural night shoot, more of that please RAF Brize Norton, and many thanks for arranging it, we will certainly be up for attending another one, should we be lucky enough to do so!

Various exciting opportunities are also coming up soon, so I hope to be able to update this with a more positive update shortly! Watch this space!

In the meantime, our equine photography has gone from strength to strength, so much so we decided to launch "JTW Equine Images", focusing directly on our horse racing, eventing and other equine related subjects, and will have a page on that subject very shortly. Only one thing - as with this page, all our images and videos are solely our copyright, so please respect it, and if you wish to obtain an image, for whatever reason, no matter how big or small it is, then please contact us to discuss how and where you would like to use our images. We do not take copyright infringement lightly, and will push for the highest penalty if we find our work has been used without permission.

Back onto aviation, and a few trips to the Mach Loop this year have yielded some fruit, but the weather has been a real pain to us, canning several trips due to unfavourable weather conditions. With possibly only one more trip this year to come, we are hopeful of getting some Eagles before the year is out ( as we haven't had any luck with them low level this year ), though from which location is still up for debate! Here are a few from this year ( so far!!! ).

Still have to sort the proper resolutions for these, so will play about with images soon, to give you the best experience.

To sum up, plenty to look forward to and build on for next year, and with a few more friends made this year, we aim to break new ground in 2017, just as long as the opportunity is there. Publication will be high on the agenda for the next 12 months, so that is among the aims for 2017.
